Continuing Education
Golf Academy of America has developed a formal relationship with the following schools to make it easier for our students to apply the credits they earn at Golf Academy of America toward advanced degrees.
Virginia College Online and Golf Academy of America have entered into an articulation agreement to provide graduates of Golf Academy of America's program with an opportunity to pursue a Bachelors degree through Virginia College Online (VCO). VCO has designed a Bachelor of Science degree in Golf Course Management specifically for students completing Golf Academy of America's 2-year program. VCO agrees to recognize degrees earned at Golf Academy of America in fulfillment of VCO's admission requirements, and to transfer appropriate Golf Academy credits into VCO's BS in Golf Course Management program. VCO operates on a quarterly schedule, and 91 out of a required 195 quarter credit hours are accepted in transfer! For more information visit the Virginia College Online website at www.vconline.edu or contact Hugh Jensen at (205) 912-8659 (hugh.jensen@vc.edu).
Golf Academy of America and Grand Canyon University (GCU) have formalized an articulation agreement to provide the opportunity for Golf Academy graduates to further their education and achieve a Bachelors degree. This Agreement is specifically designed to allow for maximum transfer of credit and a seamless transition for Golf Academy Alumni into the GCU Bachelor of Science in Applied Management degree program. All credits earned at Golf Academy of America will transfer to GCU, up to a maximum of 66 credits, leaving only 62 credits to be completed at Grand Canyon. The BS in Applied Management will be granted with an emphasis in Golf Complex Operations and Management for Golf Academy graduates, and will be available both at the GCU Phoenix campus and Online. Contact Jason Kafka with GCU via the form at this address: http://www.gcu.edu/ec/jkafka or 866-829-6604 (fax: 866-501-9559) for more info.
Golf Academy of America has an articulation agreement with University of Phoenix (UOP) that enables graduates to continue on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) with an Emphasis in Golf Complex Operations and Management in as little as 18 months. This entails 61 of Golf Academy of America's credits being transferable, regardless of grades earned in individual courses, with a remainder of 59 credits to be taken at UOP, either online or at one of their learning centers. This degree program has been customized for Golf Academy graduates, to meet both the continuing education goals of our graduates and recognize their educational accomplishments to date.
In addition, Golf Academy of America has a transfer credit agreement with University of Phoenix (UOP), which provides for the transfer of credits earned at Golf Academy of America on a case-by-case basis. This provides Golf Academy graduates with the opportunity of continuing their education at UOP, in the specific degree program of the graduates' choice.
