The Golf Academy of America is very privileged to utilize Golf Pride grips in it golf club repair and design labs with the student body. Golf Pride was founded in 1949 by Thomas L Fawick, an industrialist and inventor from Cleveland Ohio who also was a golf enthusiast. Early on the trade name "Golf Pride" was chosen, inspired by the name of a popular motor oil of the time, "Gulf Pride."
In 1953, Golf Pride introduced the first slip-on grip. And while the technology seems simple today, it was a major development at that time. Today Golf Pride provides 80-90% of usage at virtually every level of major professional and amateur competition making it the number one grip in golf.
Today there are over 75 different sizes, designs and styles. Check with your Campus Director about ordering Golf Pride grips.
