Education Corporation of America, owner and operator of the San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA) schools, today announced the appointment of Jim Hart as Director of the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, campus. He fills the position left vacant by the recent retirement of Eric Wilson. Hart was introduced to staff and students today by SDGA president Chris Hunkler.
"We are delighted to be able to fill Eric's very big shoes with someone of Jim Hart's caliber," Hunkler says. "Our students, alumni, and staff, and the employers who hire our graduates into the golf industry are going to really enjoy working with Jim."
Hart most recently was president of Fair Way Golf Management, LLC, a company that has owned and managed golf facilities throughout the Carolinas. Prior to that, he held several key positions with the Professional Golfers' Association of America, including Executive Director and Tournament Director of the Carolinas Section. Hart was also a professional tournament golfer and competed throughout North America.
He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and the master's degree in management from Webster University.
