Happy New Year!
It is hard to believe it is already 2016 with all of the great things going on in the golf industry. The 2016 PGA Merchandise Show will be held in Orlando in late January, and I would expect many GAA graduates to be in attendance. Many of our graduates are working in various parts of the industry, and the show is a tremendous opportunity to network.

Even those who aren't golf equipment nuts will admit that it is an incredibly vibrant industry-within-an-industry. Every week, there seems to be hot new woods, wedges, putters or irons coming out of Carlsbad, Phoenix and anywhere else steel, titanium and tungsten are forged and cast.
The last few years have seen something of an explosion in the golf fashion industry. Every edition of the annual PGA Merchandise Show brings a new crop of clothiers hoping to find their way into golfers' closets, a battleground that may now be even more hotly contested than their golf bags.
It looks like the game of golf is about to get a little more technologically advanced—all because Pat Steusloff took a flier in 2006.
Meet Chris Pierce who grew up playing every sport he could get his hands on including hockey, golf, soccer, football, and lacrosse. But it was golf that piqued his interest the most. Now in his third semester at Golf Academy of America Myrtle Beach and expecting to graduate in December, he talks about hitting his first hole-in-one.
Congratulations to the PGA Tour Superstore!
Golf Academy of America's 2014 Employer of the Year award was presented this past Spring to the PGA Tour Superstore management team and western region store managers gathered for a West Coast Summit at their new store in North Scottsdale, Arizona.
