A student at SDGA's Orlando campus recently won the Championship Flight tournament in the Golf Channel Amateur Tour event at Providence Golf Club in Orlando. Scott Schepens of Alatamonte Springs, Florida, finished with a 73 after making a birdie on the 18th hole to tie for the lead. Scott and fellow competitor Michael Amato of Clermont, Florida played another 8 holes before Michael bogeyed and Scott parred the 26th hole of the day, earning Scott a win. This 8 hole playoff was a new record for the Golf Channel Tour events. In May, Scott will begin his second year as a student at San Diego Golf Academy in Orlando.
