SDGA-Myrtle Beach Students Assist with National Father /Son Tournament
Jul 24, 2007
The National Father and Son Golf Tournament was held at the Grande Dunes Golf Resort in Myrtle Beach in mid-July. Twenty SDGA students provided their assistance to this annual event, which had over 1,600 competitors.
Students helped competitors in a variety of skills events, including putting, chipping and longest drive challenges. Another task was assisting with the main event scoreboard, which showed the results of those 1,600 players each day.
This was the tenth anniversary of the event, which has grown from just a few foursomes its first year to now having competitors come in from all areas of the country for three days of golf and camaraderie. Many thanks go to all the students who helped make the event a huge success!
