SDGA Myrtle Beach Students Volunteer for "After the Masters" Pro-Am
Apr 11, 2007
Thirty-two students from SDGA Myrtle Beach volunteered to work as walking scorers, crowd control, celebrity escorts, and caddies at the 2007 Hootie and the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Pro-Am Golf Tournament this past Monday. The event was a sell-out with over 6,000 people crowding the fairways of the Barefoot Resort Dye Course to rub elbows with stars such as John Daly, Andy North, Steve Spurrier, Sterling Sharpe, Jason Sehorn, Jim McMahon, and, or course, the entire Hootie and the Blowfish Band.
All proceeds go to the South Carolina Junior Golf Association. Congratulations to the following students who played an important part in the success of the event: Jeff Baker, Kenneth Brown, Ben Burnett, Tom Carpenter, Jeremy Cook, Justin Cook, Seth Crouse, Matt Duffy, Ryan Fare, Mike Flynn, David Getchell, Steve Gilbo, Tim Heffelfinger, Michael Keefner, Greg Marcus, Michael Masten, Jesse Milota, Guy Moran, Rich Moyer, John Orser, Steve Adams, Rob Pittman, Kristy Romero, Nick Schminke, Joby Smith, Johathan Smith, Mark Thompson, Chris Tiscornia, Andrew Trotman, and Cindy Turturro.
