SDGA-Myrtle Beach Students Win Prizes at Thanksgiving Celebration

In addition to the hot turkey dinner with all the trimmings for 100+ students and guests, SDGA Myrtle Beach students won prizes for various competitions at the Thanksgiving Open House held on Thanksgiving Day at the SDGA Myrtle Beach campus. Darin Thomas, 3rd Semester, won a Cleveland wedge in the Long Drive competition, recording a 351.6 yard drive in the AboutGolf Simulator. Jake Thomas, 1st Semester, won a Cleveland wedge in the Closest to the Pin competition from 160 yards with a shot to 11.3 feet. Brian Robinette, 3rd Semester, shot 3-under par and won a Taylor Made putter in the Putting Competition by one stroke with an ace on the last hole. Brian Vogt, 4th Semester, captured a Nike Sumo driver in the Texas Hold’em competition by outlasting his fellow competitors at the final table.
