Additional square footage, equipment upgrades and state-of-the-art technology were among the reasons Golf Academy of America decided to move the Myrtle Beach location from Waccamaw Boulevard to Mr. Joe White Avenue. Jim Hart, campus president, said that the cutting-edge facilities will likely boost enrollment and supply more well-equipped graduates to feed growth in the golf industry.

The facility, 24,000 square feet in total, has a 7,000 square foot teaching area, larger classrooms and administrative offices. There are three simulators and a large putting green. The first academic classes will be held in the facility on January 20, 2015.
