Golf Academy of America’s Myrtle Beach Campus Takes Second at National Championship
Nov 22, 2016
It started with more than 350 colleges. After 56 regional golf tournaments, the competition was whittled down to only 30 schools.
Golf Academy of America’s Myrtle Beach campus was one of them. The club golf team then traveled to Walt Disney World to vie for the national championship at the happiest place on Earth.
Two days and 36 holes later, the National Collegiate Club Golf Association Fall National Championship was over. Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach placed second, taking home a trophy and a profound sense of accomplishment.
Two of our talented team members, Jordan Quinn and Daniel Childress, tied for 13th in the individual rankings. Quinn also received individual honors, being named to the All-Tournament team.
The NCCGA National Championship happens twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. Golf Academy of America has a significant presence in the tournament. In the spring, four campuses, Myrtle Beach, Dallas, Orlando and San Diego, placed in the top 16.
Whether it’s the business administration side, teaching, or enjoying the game, we take golf seriously. At Golf Academy of America, our students find themselves among the best of the best. And now we have an additional trophy to prove it.
Congratulations to the entire Myrtle Beach team on a stellar performance!
