Dana Smith grew up in Loris, South Carolina, a true local to the Myrtle Beach area. She attended Columbia College in Columbia, SC and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics in 1993, with a minor in Computer Science. From there, Dana continued here education by earning a Master’s of Science in Cybersecurity from Virginia College in 2013.
Dana began her career as a software support representative and programmer for ACS Technologies, the #1 software company for church automation. From there, she has had experience as a Corporate Trainer for Homeplace of America and a Training Specialist for Horry County Government, Beaufort County Schools, and Horry County School District. She is Microsoft Certified and Network+ certified.
Dana began her career at Golf Academy of America in 2004 teaching Microcomputer Applications and has been a full-time instructor for many years. In November 2016, she was promoted to Academic Dean, with a desire to mentor and direct Golf Academy students in the right direction to their golf career.
