Graduate of Golf Academy of America in Dallas
Current Employer: iScoreGolf in Houston, Texas
Golf Academy of America in Dallas graduate Guy Gilmore saw a need, and he created a solution. Gilmore owns iScoreGolf, technology that provides PGA-style live scoring for charity golf tournaments, corporate and association events. Before this venture, he also worked in the golf industry with LeaderBoard, and as an independently contracted caddy.
Gilmore’s career combines both business and technology skills. “GAA has helped me develop my skill-set is the business class, computer class and advanced tournament operations,” Gilmore says.
He advises current Golf Academy of America students to take in all the information that they can while enrolled, because you get out what you put in. “Work hand-in-hand with you career advisor and be in his/her office weekly,” Gilmore says. “There are a lot of avenues you can take within the golf industry.”
