Director of Instruction / Owner
Current Employer: The Golf Academy of Northlands in Kansas City, Missouri
At the age of three, Ryan Patterson discovered a love for golf, thanks to his grandfather. He played competitively into his 20s, then developed a passion for teaching. He went to the Golf Academy of America in Orlando to learn how to communicate the fundamentals of golf.
"The Golf Academy of America set me up for life when it came to my career," says Patterson. "I now own my own business — The Golf Academy of the Northlands — and currently have more than 300 students."
In his daily work, Patterson coaches students to realize and then reach their potential through their golf swing and mental approach to the game. He encourages other golf professionals to strive for success. "If you're really passionate about teaching and helping others, then good things will happen to you," he says.
