Head Golf Professional

Current Employer: Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, North Carolina

Before she became a sought-after instructor, PGA Member Sara Bush was a top-notch player. She played golf at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, earning the title of captain, and also won the New Brunswick Provincial Amateur. She was captain of Team Canada in a world collegiate event.

Today, Bush is Head Golf Professional at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, North Carolina. "GAA gave me the necessary skill set to get me started in the business," she says. "It gave me a solid base that I was able to build on with confidence, allowing for quick advancement."

Beyond her education, she says that showing patrons she cares, being creative in programming, team development and maintaining a sense of tradition in an ever-changing industry have helped her grow professionally.

Honing people skills is also important to Bush. "I would advise all GAA students to build a strong relationship with all instructors and fellow students, because the golf business is very close knit. We all cross paths at some point," she says.
