Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach graduate Steve Pelletier says that an ability to communicate with clients and understand their needs has been at the helm of his success. "In my role as Director of US Sales at K-VEST, this foundation, coupled with an insight into the unique challenges in the golf industry, has allowed me to successfully provide the outcomes industry professionals are seeking," says Pelletier.
He states that his education far surpassed the curriculum. "It was a place where I was able to gain the knowledge, industry expertise and insights necessary for me to not to simply find a job, but a fulfilling career," says Pelletier.
He advises students to be attentive. "Really listen. Listen to your mentors, colleagues, customers and students. There are so many opportunities open to those who pay attention to the real message being sent," he says. "Take the time to learn from your mistakes. It's how we handle those adversities where we show our mettle, where we grow and where we show our true value in our lives and in our careers."
