Tyler Clark

Graduate of Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach

Owner/Director of Instruction

Current Employer: Lone Star Golf Academy in Denton, Texas

It was during his time in the U.S. Army that Tyler Clark discovered his love for golf. He played four years of college golf and went on to attend Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach. Clark began teaching right after graduation and now owns Lone Star Golf Academy in north Texas.

Clark believes that a combination of communication, relationship building and a firm foundation in golf knowledge have helped him advance his career. “I consider myself a people person,” Clark says. “Every golfer is different and should be approached that way. Find out what works for them.“

His biggest piece of advice to current Golf Academy in America students is to set goals. “Write them down where they are visible,” he says. “Visualize where you want to be daily and watch it happen.” He sites this unattributed quote for inspiration: “The difference between a dream and goal, the written word.”
