Saying golf is fun is like saying the sky is blue. But did you also know that studies show it could be one of the healthiest physical activities you can do? A lot of people who aren't familiar with the game perceive it as a faux sport that people enjoy while drinking beer and riding in a cart, pausing only long enough to hit the occasional wayward shot.
Approximately 100 guests attended the grand opening of Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach last month. Campus Director Jim Hart welcomed the guests who enjoyed a ribbon cutting, refreshments, tours and golf demonstration during the event. Jason Mann, Sr., Vice President of Marketing, spoke on behalf of owners Education Corporation of America (ECA). Also in attendance from ECA was Marketing Director Keri Burnett. Representing the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce was Shannon Furtick, Membership Retention & Services Manager.
Golf Academy of America's 2014 Employer of the Year award was presented recently to the PGA Tour Superstore management team and western region store managers gathered for a West Coast Summit at their new store in North Scottsdale, Arizona.
