Kaese Previously Served as Director of Golf Instruction
October 18, 2012, Carlsbad, Calif. – Representatives of Golf Academy of America, the world's largest and longest-running two-year golf career college, announced that Steve Kaese has been promoted to the position of academic dean for the San Diego campus, located in Carlsbad.
A passionate, expert instructor hailing originally from Chicago, Kaese has worked for Golf Academy of America's San Diego campus since 2009 as Director of Golf Instruction. In addition to teaching courses that cover the basics of the swing, Kaese has particularly enjoyed showing students how to become great instructors themselves. In 2011, he won the Teacher of the Year award from the San Diego chapter of the Professional Golfers Association of America.
"I really enjoy teaching Advanced Teaching because I feel like that class allows me to shape the future instructors of the golf industry," said Kaese. "Many students who have taken Advanced Teaching speak fondly about how much more prepared they felt than many of their peers" when they entered the golf industry.
Kaese will continue to relish his role as a mentor and adviser to students in his new position as academic dean of the San Diego campus.
"We are proud to have some of the best and brightest in the golf industry working for our students, setting them on the best paths in this great game," said Mike Largent, president of Golf Academy of America. "Steve is very popular with his students and is as passionate as any of our instructors when it comes to imparting his expertise to the next generation of golf industry leaders."
